The Project

The Aqaba Cruise Terminal, located in the port of Aqaba, is the first of its kind in the Jordanian Red Sea port. It has been designed to attract international tourists to Jordan and promote visits to popular tourist destinations. The terminal building is constructed with a steel structure and is cladded with decorated sandwich panels. The Aqaba Cruise Terminal features a 700-meter pier, providing docking space for cruise ships. Inside the terminal, there is a spacious passenger and baggage hall, indoor commercial spaces, prayer rooms for religious observances. Additionally, there are office spaces within the terminal for administrative purposes and coordination of operations.

Scope of Services

The scope of services for the Aqaba Cruise Terminal included the development of fully coordinated architectural and structural shop drawings for both the building itself and the surrounding site and infrastructure. Detailed and precise drawings along with accurate materials estimates were created to guide the construction process, ensuring that all project elements were accurately implemented. In addition to the architectural and structural aspects, the project also involved coordinating the work of other subcontractors. This included subcontractors responsible for metal works, aluminum installation, electrical systems, mechanical systems and others. By facilitating their work, the project ensured seamless integration and coordination among all the different disciplines involved in the construction process.
